There has been a whirlwind of exciting announcements this year at infinitSpace HQ - opening new sites in London, the UAE and the Netherlands....and today there’s another!
We’re thrilled to share that infinitSpace has entered into a management agreement with a landlord Banlieu BV to launch beyond Republica, a state-of-the-art flexible workspace in Amsterdam!
beyond Republica marks our fourth location in Europe under the ‘beyond’ brand, and the second in The Netherlands – where infinitSpace is also based.
About beyond Republica
The new location will be located in Amsterdam’s fantastic new Republica development. Designed by Marc Koehler Architects and Frank Loer, Republica is an innovative mixed-use complex comprising of six buildings.
Sustainability is also a key element of Republica. It is part of ATELIER’s EU-funded Smart City project, with its buildings forming part of Amsterdam’s Positive Energy District.
In the past months, residents have moved into the apartment buildings, while the hotel operator will open in October. The final parts of the brand-new development, including some retail units and the beyond Republica’s flexible workspaces, will open in January 2024.
Plus, the development includes a wide variety of top amenities like outdoor spaces, a cafe, event space and a rooftop pool!
Republica can be found in the vibrant, up-and-coming neighbourhood of Buiksloterham in Amsterdam-Noord, an area celebrated for its rich industrial history and renowned today for its creative community. It is accessible by a free ferry, connecting Amsterdam-Noord to the city centre within just a few minutes.
Spanning a total of 2,000-square-metres, beyond Republica will be spread across three of the development’s six buildings: The Joker (a multifunctional commercial space for businesses and creatives), Small Girl (an office building), and Hotel (a 116-room boutique hotel and a rooftop pool, restaurant and bar). Republica’s other three buildings are primarily residential, boasting a combination of 32 owner-occupied flats and 23 rental apartments.
infinitSpace has been charged with designing the new flexible workspaces that will make up beyond Republica, and equipping all of them with cutting-edge technology, including a branded app. Not only will this app connect flexible workspace members, businesses and residents across the Republica development, it will allow them to book workspace facilities on-demand. We will be also responsible for marketing the space, managing new memberships and overseeing the ongoing operation of the site – an exciting undertaking!
In addition to the latest in tech, a commitment to building community and empowering human endeavour will naturally be woven into the fabric of the workspace, embracing beyond’s signature style and finesse. Expect design that is characterised by gorgeous light-filled spaces and bold colour palettes and fitted with inviting lounge spaces.
